Spring League Rules
- Unless otherwise noted below all rules follow UPA 11th edition rules.
- 1 time-out per half (there is no floater).
- No time-outs called after the warning whistle- called time-outs are a turnover and people will laugh at you.
- Teams must field at least 5 players from their roster by 7:10 or 8:40 or their team forfeits the game. If neither team has 5 players then both teams are losers and must provide beer for the league director.
- Gender mix: offense can have up to 3 women on the line. If a team does not have any women players or acceptable pick-ups then the opposing team can ask that team to play one man down.
- All pick-ups must be approved by the opposing team’s captain/s. Priority of playing time should always be given to rostered players.
- At 8:20 and 9:50 a whistle will sound- this is a 5-minute warning whistle until the hard cap. At 8:25 and 9:55 a whistle will sound for a second time, setting the time cap for the game. The high score at the end of the current point wins- if the score is tied then next point wins.
- Field A is closer to the metal bleachers, Field B is farther.
